La Poudre Pump Station & Slurry Wall

Project Location: Windsor, Colorado

Project Description:

This design-build project included a soil-bentonite cutoff wall (also known as a slurry wall) and a pump station off the Cache La Poudre River in Windsor.  The pump station incorporated 3 vertical turbine pumps that can pump from 20 CFS all the way down to 2 CFS.  The pumps were housed in a masonry block building approximately 5,000 SF.

The cutoff wall lined two cells which totaled approximately 8,000 LF with an average depth of 24 FT plus a 3 FT key into bedrock.  The reservoir has approximately 1050 AF of storage.
