Location: Dayton Street and Florida Avenue in Arapahoe County near Aurora, Colorado
This was a land development project for a client we have been working with for well over a decade. This multi-family subdivision has 40 lots for paired homes. The project first entailed demolishing an existing residence that was on the property. After that, we installed the pipe and underground utilities, paved the streets, and installed site lighting. We also made necessary roadway improvements along Florida Avenue and Dayton Street. Florida Avenue work included adding a median, while Dayton Street was widened along the site.
One of the challenges our team encountered was the need to work with multiple municipalities. This project resided in Arapahoe County, but the work along Dayton Street required us to coordinate with the City of Aurora. In addition, the water district was Denver Water & Cherry Creek Water District; the storm district was Arapahoe County & SEMSWA; and the sanitary district was through Cherry Creek Valley Water District. This required cooperation with multiple inspectors and specifications. Our team took the lead in this coordination, which resulted in a successful project and a satisfied Owner.
